and applying for an apprenticeship:
Write down your
interests and strengths
Read up on different industries
that align with your identified
interests and skills. What career
pathways could the
apprenticeship lead to one, five
and ten years down the track?
Making it specific to the company
you’re applying for will show
you’re interested in the business
and invested in your involvement.
Do you notice an intersection
between your passions and your
skills? Determining your interests and
strengths will help you decide which
vocations you’ll do well in.
Government incentives can be paid
directly to Apprentices, especially if
employed in priority skill jobs. Find

According to Programmed, there is no ‘best’ time to
apply! But they do admit the more you know now,
the more you’ll be prepared when you pursue one.
The best personal statement is one that conveys your
passion for the job! Focus on the skills and experience
you already have and think about how this can relate
to your dream apprenticeship. .
The minimum requirement for an apprentice
aged 15 years or older in full time school. If
you’re under the age of 18, you’ll also need
permission from a parent or guardian.
